RFK Stadium

Atmos Solutions, Inc. was an integral part of one of the largest abatement projects in recent Washington DC history. Atmos was a key member of the Smoot Construction and Events DC team as the environmental abatement subcontractor for the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium (RFK) Abatement and Demolition Project. The Stadium includes five levels totaling over 733,000 gross SF of space. Atmos provided hazardous material abatement services for the RFK Stadium prior to the demolition phase of the project. RFK Stadium opened in 1961 as one of the first major multipurpose stadiums designed to host both baseball and football.

Workforce Development

To help execute this project, Atmos trained and certified 40 DC residents to be abatement workers. Atmos has a robust training program that is led by our National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certified Master Trainer. Of the 40 people we trained, Atmos hired 15 of the most talented and reliable abatement workers as full-time employees, and will utilize 15 more for staff augmentation on an as-needed basis.
